Elmo

Awhile back, I wrote about how Ella saw the Sesame Street character Elmo on TV and was transfixed by him. After seeing her reaction to Elmo on a TV news broadcast, I decided to try to get a video from the library. Now, she is addicted to Elmo! If she sees him anywhere (on her diapers, commercials, newspapers, etc), she starts saying "Elmo, Elmo, Elmo..." She has even been known to whine when I tell her that she can't watch an Elmo movie. I'm almost afraid to go to a store where we might see an Elmo doll -- who knows what she would do! They just came out with a new Tickle Me Elmo doll called "TMX" -- it's the new and improved 10th anniversary edition that actually falls down laughing. It's quite cute. But, I guess I can take comfort in the fact that I probably won't see one in the stores and have to deal with Ella because they have been flying off the shelves.
