when it fails. It can be a wonderful thing. But, the problem is that we become dependent on it and then it will inevitably fail at the most importune time. Take today for instance. Taxes are due tomorrow. Despite the craziness that is my life with two kids, I pretty much had the taxes taken care of. I just needed to print them off of the computer, double check and efile. So, today I go to the home computer to get it taken care of and the darn thing won't boot and start windows. I think, "Okay, not the best situation...but I've still got the laptop. I'll have to redownload tax software and redo the taxes but thankfully our tax situation isn't too complicated. I can get it done."
Well, the girls cooperated and I got going redoing my taxes. But, then I realized that there is still information on the home computer that I need and can't access! Now, I can't reach any of the people who could possibly help me, so I have to wait until they can which probably won't be until this evening. So, my precious time that I can actually DO something without kids is frittering away and I'm frustrated. I HATE TECHNOLOGY...and I hate myself for not printing my taxes as I went along! It is going to be a long night....
