What did I have to do to win it? Well, nothing...and I mean that literally. Specifically, I won it for being the least prepared for Christmas out of over 20 women.!
Yep, I don't have a tree yet. I don't have Christmas cards out nor do I even have a family photo taken (I'll probably go French send out a "Happy New Year" card instead). I don't have my presents purchased or made. Hey, I don't even have my list of gifts planned! I don't know what we'll do for Christmas Eve. Yeah, NOTHING is finished. Okay, that's not exactly true. I do have a few presents for the girls as I mentioned yesterday. But, that is literally all I have done to prepare for Christmas.
When they asked me, "What HAVE you been doing?" I honestly blamed it on Brett and his birthday celebration. Seriously, this Mama can only handle one holiday at a time. Now that his bday is over and I'm just getting back into the swing of things, I feel like I can focus on Christmas. So, my goal tonight is to get my house tidy and my bills paid. Perhaps tomorrow night we can go get a tree and get the decorations out. We shall see....

We have a tree and we baked cookies last night, but that is it. Just not into getting worked up about it.
Rob said we couldn't get a tree or rather he did not want the mess of one. SO I went right out to the market, Albertson's had a live Norfolk pine. I bought it. It is about 4 feet tall in the pot. I love it. It kinda looks like a palm tree sort of. The branches do anyway. I have been trying recipes in the kitchen. The Coconut Ginger Honey Cookies have been a hit a work.
