I grew up in a home where my mom was very creative and my dad was very frugal and do-it-yourself. Those traits rubbed off on me, just in a more crafty sort of way. I love to make things that are cute, functional and/or frugal...or better yet, all three! For most of my marriage, I've made at least some of the gifts for certain family members. I enjoy doing it, and it has given us a way to show our love for others through gifts and still live within our means. (My husband and I both have LARGE families!)
